The Colors
A pihi will be encircled by a color band that is selected by the wearer to represent their 3Cs in ‘ōlelo Hawai‘i:
Comfort, Capacity & Capability
A pihi with all four colors represents he hoa kāko‘o (a supporter).
Knows a few basic words, phrases, beginning the journey
More than few words, phrases or short sentences and can interact comfortably
Able to carry a conversation, reply, ask & continue mostly in ‘ōlelo Hawai‘i
A proficient to fluent speaker, keiki kaiapuni, ka leo mua o nā kūpuna
